THE ANCIENT GREEK WORSHIP
One of the most important ancient faiths, characterized by its great impact in the western civilizations is the Ancient Greek Worship. It was a religion based in cults and beliefs oriented toward the adoration of deities and supernatural forces, which allowed the individuals to create a deep and transcendental nexus with the universe and all its components. It was a cultural manifestation passed to the new generations, throughout myths, art and literature. (Burket). It was a polytheistic religion distinguished by the adoration of multiple gods and goddesses. Deities who represented different aspects of life such as love and war; and another aspects of nature, such as the idolatry of the sun, the sea, the sky and the fire. For instance, there was a special respect for Earth, also called the “Great mother”. Under these beliefs, these deities were immortal and possessed superhuman powers.
