We All are Outsiders

Is it like offbeat, off-color, kinky, freaky, weird, strange, atypical, abnormal, bizarre, uncommon, odd, eccentric, unusual, individualistic or just different? Which word am I going to choose to describe myself being in the position where I am considered an outsider? Based on my experience, outsiders are those either who do not have a key to the door that leads to the world of common interests or who do have a key but do not want to get into the world by their choice. Theoretically, we all are outsiders in some sense regardless of our choices.

In the speech, “I have a dream”, by Martin Luther King, he mainly talks about what minorities, mostly African-Americans, should do to come by their social status that enables them to pursue their rights as human beings. Within their own market distance, they had built an invisible big fence, so their members only could divide the share. After several attempts for about a month with everything ready to start, I was able to get a permission to have my business in the city from the head of the union. However, that was the end of the start, and it was literally nothing to me because I was just allowed to sell my products within a small area where no potential customers passed by. Later I discovered that they did not see me as a serious and mature salesman because I was too young to own my business even though it was a small one. Eventually, I ended up with a near bankruptcy, and as an outsider I tasted a bit about what the reality of business world was like. In the society as a whole, however, the merchandisers in the city are also outsiders. Generally, people see them as not successfu
