After multiple years in school he joined up to be a soldier in a Revolution against the Manchu Dynasty. This was the first Mao’s name got involved in a form of politics and the country. After serving six months as a soldier, Mao went on to graduate from the First Provincal Normal School. The next couple of years he really started to develop his own ideas as he began to learn more and more about communism. He began to idolize rulers like Stalin

and Lenin. Mao and the rest of the country were very irritated with the way China seemed to always be under the control of foreign countries, so Mao purposed his first idea to the people. This idea was that China could only rule itself it was under communist rule.

Revolution. Mao Tse-Tung’s Cultural Revolution was probably the most successful operation he was ever a part of. Mao had four goals for his Cultural Revolution. The first goal was to replace China’s successors with the people that agreed with ideas. The second goal was to repair the Communist party in China and make it stronger than the USSR communist party. The third goal was to give the new generation an experience of a revolution. Finally, the last goal was to change the old ideas, customs, culture and habits of mind of the Chinese people. Mao was successful in all the areas of all of his goals, but at the same time as some say Mao’s Cultural Revolution was greatly needed and was important for China others claim that Mao and his Red Guard were cruel and merciless with their ways of moving the Revolution along. Mao’s Red Guard was a group of enforcers during the Cultural Revolution that was made up of six million of China’s Urban Youth (The Cultural Revolution in China, 1).
