The first purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of two weeks of intensified training on blood chemical, neuroendocrine, performance and psychological parameters in trained distance runners and cyclists. The second purpose was to study eventual differences in responses between trained runners and cyclists after two weeks of intensified training.
