Edgar Allen Poe wrote a poem called The Raven. Poe wrote this gothic style poem in 1845. This style of writing was very popular at that time as it continues to be now in modern times. This is a dark poem about the state of mind of a man who is living alone, suffering with the loss of his love, Lenore.
