Factual on roadsters

Over the past three years many companies have been battling it out to say that their car is the worlds best roadster. Today I am going to investigate what is really the world best roadster, according to the companies who made the cars and what car magazine. The cars that are currently fighting for the prize are; the BMW Z4 with good look and great style; the Honda S2000, the good looking fine beast; Mercedes’ super fast SL55 AMG; Audis’ super cool TT and finally, last but not least, the world best selling roadster (but not necessarily the best) the Mazda MX-5. Now that all the cars have been introduced, lets see what these babies offer.

Starting with the BMW Z4. According to BMW we must “prepare to be obsessed” with this pretty attractive machine, but the mention nothing about the cars reliability, refinement and performance, they only talk some mumbo jumbo about how the z4 is a “fearless powerhouse” which doesn’t entice me. On the other hand what car magazine describe the BMW as “superbly refined with an appealing snarl under acceleration” but there is a down side to this car and that is its price. Now lets move on to the Mercedes SL55 AMG. This is the car leading Mercedes into the battle of the roadsters, replacing the old and outdated SLK32 AMG. According to Mercedes this is the most technologically advanced car they have ever built. It has to be because it is fitted with the most powerful AMG engine to date. This car comes with two different V8 engines for you to choose from, the 5.0litre V8 with 306bhp and the whopping 5.5litre V8 with 500bhp. The AMG is blisteringly fast, but so is the new twin-turbo 500bhp V12. For a roadster these cars are extraordinarily quite according to what car. This car has an automatic down shift, which according to merc will boost the engines braking effect. This piece of machinery is very well put together and has to bee one of Mercedes best but most sophisticated piece of machinery.

Swiftly moving on to one of the best looking roadsters I’ve ever seen, The Honda s2000. Honda says, “You might need some time to get used to its fire-engine-red start button.
