fertilizer plant, but he does not make very much money. Joe would come home to play his flirtatious games. Joe would begin rolling his coins over their threshold. Their life was filled with “joyful mischief” also, genuine sweetness. Joe looks forwarded to going home to his lovely wife. They both represent a marriage made in Heaven.
Then brassy Mr. Slemmons decides to enter into their life. Joe meets Mr. Odis D. Slemmons in town. He was overwhelmed with Mr. Slemmons. Joe’s new friend appeared to be a very wealthy, successful businessman. His new friend enjoyed talking about himself on his travel exploits. He told stories about how he earned all the gold. He painted a very pleasant picture of his exciting life. Missie May got pleasure from listening to her husband talk about how he met a new friend and the excited life
He was a man who decided to forgive his wife for her mistake. Maybe he was in fault for bringing Mr. Slemmons into their lives. Then she hears a familiar sound at her doorstep.
