Affirmative Action

Affirmative action, by definition policies used in the United States to increase opportunities for minorities by favoring them in hiring and promotion, college admissions, and the awarding of government contracts, to me, the un-constitutional way to get to college. Affirmative action is like a bonus paycheck. Whoever receives it is rejoices, whoever does not is jealous. Affirmative Action is un-constitutional, colleges should not look at skin color and it brings up turmoil and jealousy.

First, Affirmative Action is un-constitutional. This nation is based on moral ideals and one of them is equal rights. “All men are created equal,” said a wise man by the name of Dr. Martin Luther King JR. I truly agree with his statement because each person should receive a fair chance at hiring, promotions, college admissions etc. If someone wants to get some

thing they have to prove themselves and show how they are qualified for the certain category. People who are minorities should not look at this as an advantage, on the contrary, they should try their hardest and get the job done.
