To Kill A Mockingbird

People live with many truths and troubles throughout their life. Conflict is what causes

emotion from a person which brings out the character of a person. These conflicts are essential to

the plot and actions in To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. As Scout begins school, she finds it

difficult to get along with others such as her teacher Miss Caroline. Along with this frustration

that Scout holds comes the fading of Jem's youth as he becomes a youg man. Just as the town's

people of Maycomb believed all was well now after the trial, Bob Ewell still is out for revenge

against Atticus through his children.

Scout's frustration with her first grade teacher Miss Caroline, whom does not understand

Scout, is essential to the plot through the tensions caused that are later revealed during the trial.

While at school, Scout confronts Miss Caroline that Walter Cunningham is poor because of his

family, which makes Miss Caroline furious. Miss Caroline is new in the school and does not

know the people in Maycomb and thier lives. Scout does not only express her thoughts through

her actions but mainly through her words, which causes her a lot of trouble. Scout tells Miss


telling her that he will continue to read to her as long as she does not tell Miss Caroline shows

Even though Scout never got along well with her teacher Miss Caroline, she is still able to learn
