Team work and safety

This brief assignment paper aims to provide an explanation of the ecological approach adopted by recent regulation and the cons and pros attributed to it when compared with traditional approach. At the same time it will address the limitations and obstacles faced by the new approach. .
Few can question the benefits attributed to the ecological approach when used to monitor and evaluate pollution impact and extent. The main benefits attributed to the ecological approach are the holistic approach it provides, the ability to determine long term impact of pollution (including temporal parameter) and its ability to track the effectiveness of remediation measures. Previous few years of implementation proved that the maximum benefit is gained when combining the outcome of ecological, biological and chemical monitoring at the same time. Chemical assessment can't be neglected since different ecosystems may react differently to different sources of pollution. The major obstacle facing the biological approach is determining the baseline characteristics for biological communities for each type of water bodies.
These results were reached through, investigating the biological and chemical aspects of the ecosystem and the relationship between the ecosystem and pollution. Biological monitoring was thoroughly discussed, taking in account its necessity and benefits when compared to the traditional chemical monitoring. .

             Ecology and Ecosystems.
An ecosystem is defined as place having unique physical features, encompassing air, water, and land, and habitats supporting plant and animal life.
Ecological systems are independent systems of plants, animals & abiotic environment. They have structures through which energy & nutrient flow and are both subject to and resist change. Island Ecosystems have had this competition and differ in many respects from Continental Communities subject to the same conditions.
