Hindu people refused to send their children to these Anglo-Indian schools; they knew the racist problems their children had to face. Teachers were the first to discriminate Hindu children by changing their names to English names. Similarly, Children in China were also oppressed but more strongly. In China Mao's revolution was a very hard period. Children would learn in school only from Mao's books. They had to learn only what their chairman believed, and he believed in communism, which is signified by the author as "the common ownership of economic resources".
