One main cause is that those doing the school violence suffer from bad parenting. I believe that parents need to be responsible for their children. They’re the ones who raised the child and filled them with their beliefs of what’s right and wrong. When a principle calls home about a child misbehaving and the parents do nothing, that just lets the child know that it’s alright for him or her to do it again. The parents will cause the child to form the mindset that he or she can do it again because they know that they won’t get reprimanded for their actions. Schools can help out the problem too by doing numerous things. Schools can set up groups where students who have problems with one another can peacefully talk out their differences. Doing this will help students get their troubles off of their chest without resorting to violence. Schools should also take all of the bomb threats or other physical threats that they might get very seriously when they hear about them. Who knows which ones could be correct or not. If students fell really unsafe, the school can invest in metal detectors or hire security for the school. The security guards can monitor the students and make sure that there isn’t any kind of violence taking place. Those ideas can help out the schools a lot.

Another solution can involve the student body doing some drastic changes. Students at schools need to stop being so narrow minded. They need to learn to get along with everyone. They need to stop trying to act “cool” around their friends by teasing others. I believe that students should attempt to get to know other people who are outside of their usual group. Students need to stick up for other students as well. When a student is getting teased, the other students need to do something to make sure that the troublemaker stops. It’s things like this which can help out big time.

One solution for school violence is for parents to do a better job of raising their children. One thing that parents could do is better discipline their children at a young age.
