Skills and abilities that are strengths in the workplace would be the core of a person’s work ethic. To succeed in life, a person’s attributes is the driving force whether a person gains the necessary skills and abilities. These abilities that a person has relate back to the traits that this person has. A driving force pushes a person to excel to achieve a goal. A goal would be set when a need for that “item” or “status” is recognized. This would mean that the person who has ambition to succeed would have more of a desire than a person who does not have the desire. But I believe the weaknesses could be and probably are equal between both types of personalities. The difference is that the person who wishes to succeed, recognizes his weaknesses and formulates a plan to overcome them or diverts his path from stumbling on them. This brings us to the point of this paper. Having been tasked in class to identify the strengths and weaknesses that I possess in my work, home and Learning team environments forces myself in self analysis in all three areas. I would assume that the skills and abilities that I have in one area would relate directly to all areas of my life. If a person is trus
The next area of self analysis would be in my personal life. To be considerate in this area would be a huge undertaking. I know in many times that I am considerate of others whether they are personal friends or my wife, who is another good friend of mine. This has been a virtue of mine and one area of my life I have been working on for years. But on occasions I have looked back on situations that I could have handled better. In other words “I should of have had consideration for there feelings.” This is only dependent on the situation that I may be facing. If I feel strongly about a subject I will neglect the consideration of the other’s feelings in order to have the other agree with my view point. This usually will end in bitter failure because the other will be put off from remarks made and whose opinion will be harder to sway. To correct this type of weakness is to listen and learn. Everybody has an opinion and whether I wish to agree or not may not be the point. But to listen to the opinion and have the other feel that his idea or opinion has merit is fair both individuals. Whether I agree or not agree which can be addressed in a well formulated rebuttal is only secondary.
tworthy at work then this attribute would relate directly to other areas of one’s life.
In the workplace I have been in many positions from low-man on the totem pole and to the position of top man. But in all positions certain personal strengths have always been present. I have always believed in a “honest day’s work for a honest an day’s pay” philosophy. This would translate to honest, trustworthy, and team player. These three attributes stem from one I believe. Honesty would be the keystone of the three. If one is honest with o
