Nature or Nurture
There is a debate among scientist today over the issue of development and whether or not this issue is primarily influenced by nature or by nurture. The nature viewpoint deals with an organism’s biological inheritance and the nature viewpoint has to do to an organism’s environmental experiences. Therefore, the following issues discussed will help one’s self decide whether an organism develops by biological inheritance or that same organism adapts and develops through environmental experiences that it may encounter in day-to-day life.First, let’s start with the nature issue. Whether you are talking about a plant or a human, those individuals who take the nature approach to development argue that organisms grow in an orderly fashion unless destroyed by an unfriendly environment. The nature issue, for example in humans would show how we develop by walking, talking, growing, etc. and how each of us do this in close proximity to one another and have done so for as long as we have had recorded history. The nature proponents are aware that different environments may effect physical and mental development in humans and growth in plants, but they still stick to their guns that these components are
