Catcher in the Rye, is a book of deep symbols and complex meanings. Such symbols can be

discussed for days and still not be determind what exactly it is meant for. Such ideas is "Holden is a

missunderstood person, and has difficulty understanding himself." What makes Catcher in the Rye such a

great book, is that all the different different veiws have strong points, each of them can be well discussed.

In almost all the chapters in Catcher in the Rye, Holden tries to contact this character named Jane.

Holden seems to really admire this character named Jane, he is attracted to her, and seems to find no flaw in

her. Though he would like to contact her, he gives up everytime.
