The Scarlet Pimpernel was about two people madly in love during the time of the French Revolution. Percy and Margaret were their name and I felt the film was a mix of comedy, drama, and history. The reason I say all three is you laugh, you see the drastic love scenes, and you learn about how they were back then. It had to do with the excution of Royal Family of the time. By the way, Percy is the Scarlet Pimpernel.
