Duties:.
Providing support and protection for Agency personnel or citizens under.
attack from sniper fire, assault fire, or when such gunfire is anticipated;.
Providing high ground and perimeter security for visiting dignitaries;.
Providing rescue services for law enforcement officers or citizens who have.
been captured, isolated or endangered as a result of a tactical situation;.
Establishing inner and outer perimeter lines and, if necessary, providing.
controlled fire power in non-riot situations involving snipers, barricaded.
suspects and/or hostages;.
Conducting studies and compiling intelligence information necessary for.
deploying manpower for special tactical situations;.
Assisting in serving search and arrest warrants, when such service may be.
necessary to support other Agency personnel;.
Providing station and command post defense, when needed;.
Testing new equipment which may be utilized by the SWAT.
Salary Range (including fringe benefits):.
Starting from: $31,393 - $50,261 .
Possible to make: $51,000 and $68,000.
Working Conditions:.
Team is a group of specially trained, sworn deputies who are utilized in incidents where disciplined team work, specialized weapons and tactical skills are required to deal with and resolve law enforcement incidents that are high risk in nature. The S.W.A.T. Team is used in a variety of situations, to include, but not limited to, Barricaded Suspects; Hostage Situations; High Risk Search and Arrest Warrants and the arrest of Armed and Dangerous suspects. Thast is what swat member do and they have to train accordnlying. The have to go through a weapons training section, physical training, and a classroom coarse.
