Esteban and Santiago Nasar were very unique characters. There was something in both of them that made them seem alike. Wealth and fame were two very important themes in these characters. They both had a very similar kind of lifestyle. Wealth and power made them different from the society they were living in. Usually when someone is wealthy and powerful, they are seen differently from the rest of the society, especially if the one looking is middle class or poor.
