John Thornton: John is a nice guy who takes Buck away from an evil man who scolds Buck a lot.

Spitz: Spitz is a vicious dog that wants to kill Buck. Buck and Spitz get in to two or three fights throughout the story.

Judge Miller: Judge Miller is a nice guy. He was Buck’s first owner.

Mollie: Mollie is one of the Judge’s daughters.

Alice: Alice is the other daughter of the Judge

Buck: Buck is a dog. Basically, this is his life story.

I would like to be Buck because he is very strong and fast, and over all a cool dog.

Plot: In the beginning, Buck is living a pretty good life. That good life is soon to be no more. After living with Judge Miller and his family Buck is taken away by men that need sled dogs. He is taken to a room where a man in a red sweater and with a club. Buck is scared but angry. He charges at the man but the man hits him with the club. Buck was surprised at the blow from the man because he had never been hit before. Buck, a little confused, rushed the man again but yet again the man struck Buck. Buck still didn’t get the idea so once more he ran at the man and once more the man in the red sweater struck Buc
