Little Sister

I usually just sat around and did what I wanted to do. My friends and I sometimes break a few things and do things that we are not suppose to do. Yeah, I remember those good old days. I was just finding all sorts of ways to exercise my bad habits. I would stick my tongue out at strangers and spit on any conceivable place. But eventually, like most things, this had to come to an end. When my sister was born, I had to change my ways. I knew from then on that I not only had to think like an adult, but act like one as well. I have had to associate myself with other people, change my bad ways, and become more of a role model.
The first thing that I had to do was associate myself with other people. With my current friends, I was inclined to do things that I was not taught to do. I went against my own morals. Surrounding myself with a different group of people seemed like the best remedy. It wasn't that the other kids were mean; they were just lazy and did obnoxious things. My parents definitely wanted an expedite change. I never realized how important it was to change until my sister was born. I knew that I couldn't let her learn bad habits. After all, she is my sister. It took longer that I had originally planned, but I eventually made some new friends. I learned that they didn't have to be the smartest, but in what they believed in and how they acted. .
One of the chief things I had to change was my attitude and my habits. I used to slack off and go outside after curfew. I couldn't do that anymore. I had to show my sister how to be respectful and what good work ethic really is. Doing this not only helped her, but it helped me as well. I changed as a person. I was respectful to everyone and obedient to my parents. I regained their trust and kept what I had with my sister. Bad habits can be gotten rid of, but good habits stay with you forever. .
From the second my sister was born, I knew that she was looking up to me.
