Saint Teresa of Avila
To me a saint is a person who does the will of God despite his or her own want to follow her own. Another characteristic that a saint should have is humbleness, this characteristic is very important in the life of a Saint because it enables her to become selfless in order to serve others. I say serve others because that is what Jesus did. He served his community, he healed the sick, and he washed the feet of his disciples. Jesus is the prime example of humbleness and if anyone is to be called a Saint then she should do all for the glory of God and not for her own glory just as Jesus did.The saint that I have chosen is St. Teresa of Avila. I say that because she was a very determined woman. She served by any means necessary and God’s will was her priority. ecided to leave the convent and stay with her father and other relatives because of an illness that she had. She grew especially close to her uncle who encouraged her study of religion and St.
