The Theory Of Knowledge book outlines many different ways of knowing. Justified true belief is one of those ways. Another way of knowing something is true without proof is called knowledge by conviction, which is faith. As for me even without the textbook I would say, “Yes, we could know something is true without proof.” There are people who are famous today because of the theories they had, about things people couldn’t believe to be true because there was no evidence to prove it.People such as Leonardo De Vinci, who said that we could fly. He had people laugh at him, but look today we have airplanes in which people use everyday to travel in. We used them in Wars, to win battles. In transportation, to get from place to place. He believed we could fly and even tried to build a flying machine. Even though he didn’t succeed he had faith. In the Theory Of Knowledge book it says, “Faith is very powerful way of knowing. It’s power lies; strangely, in it’s lack of conventional rationality.” (Pg. 23 14th line from the bottom) You also had a famous man named Galileo who come up with so many theories.
