The reason why I believe so strongly in the importance of college is because of older relatives and friends that went to college and their outcome. I compare my future goals to their present day lifestyle and it doesn’t seem that much different from mine. As on the other if compared to a person who didn’t go to college. I feel very deeply about the importance of going to college and receiving a “higher learning” to prepare me for my life long goals.

My grandmother has played a major role in my life. If it wasn’t for her I wouldn’t be the young man I am today. Her influence on me is the reason for what makes me different from everyone else. Her heavy involvement of being in church and getting me to go to various services every weekend is what I believe keeps me out of trouble. Without out her I would see myself as just being the average “kid on the block.” Her influence on me is what I believe changes my aspect of things and what makes me pursue greater things instead of being in the ordinary.

Academically I see myself as being above average. However there are few subjects that I do have trouble with such as Math and Computer Programming and that makes it seem like I’m average but I know I’m far from that. Subjects that I have interests in such as Psychology, Political Science, History, and, English I happen to accelerate in. My high school and pre college transcripts further prove my theory of my greatest ability. I try to do my best at every subject but it seems that certain subjects such as History come to me faster and are more interesting.
