Alfred Hitchcock’s film psycho brought a new type of film genre to the Industry which was horror/thriller suspense. Psycho was made in 1959 and released in 1960 and costing $50,000-$100,000 has become a classic which everyone in the film business has heard of.
The scene I am focusing on is the shower scene. Marion Crane who has stolen $40,000 from her boss decides to run away with her lover. Police all over the country are after her. Marion stops at the Bate’s motel where she meets the psycho Norman Bates.
Norman Bates becomes the psycho when his domineering mother dies but stays with him mentally and tells him to do deeds for her.
