Joesph Stalin
In the history of mankind there are countless men whose names have been synonymous with power, greed and above all, evil… Joseph Stalin or Iosef Vissanionvich Dzhugaskvilli would become one of these men. Joseph was born December 21 1879 in Gori, Georgia, Russia. He was 1 of 4 Sons who lived of Vissarion a shoemaker and an alcoholic and Tekaterina a washer. Joseph spoke only Georgian until he was 8, when he learned to speak Russian. His mother who was very religious sent Joseph to a church school. In 1894 Joseph won a scholarship to the theological seminary in Tbilisi where he studied Religion, geography and other subjects. In 1899 Joseph was expelled from the theological seminary for smuggling in banned books and for not respecting officials. A short time after leaving the seminary he joined the national Democratic Party’s military wing where shortly there after the split of the party (1903) he became a follower of Lenin. In 1902 Joseph was arrested for his revolutionary actions and exiled to Siberia but escaped 2 years later and returned to Georgia. This angered several other Communist countries, causing some to leave Russian control rather than lose the style of government that had been so successfully employed Joseph Stalin.
