He views art through carefulness, attentiveness, performance and sharp observation for being a good painter by using different techniques such as shading with light, linear perspective, and accurate proportion. Through his works, one can see that da Vinci saw that all problems could be made clear by strictly using form and function. As modernism creeps in, the style changes and leans towards the artist and their choice of style and freedom to express. The purpose of study became less important and faded through time. Warhol does not excessively worry himself with genuineness because he does not care to show any deep meanings to his work. Yet Warhol can still be compared to da Vinci because of his obsession with repetition and deeper participation with an image, just like da Vinci focused on his ability to have precise drawing. Both artists were honored and respected on their dissimilar approaches towards art. Da Vinci was a talented artist of sketching and painting with structure who built up his own rules and opinion about art. While also gifted, Warhol under-emphasized the law of nature and stressed only on the influence of the image as a whole to the society.
