Caesar Monologue
I came, I conquered, and now I am God. It was so easy defeating Pompey in our battle. I had the best private army of all. Well now that it’s all over with, I might as well just take it easy and relax in Rome. The people here treat me as if I were God. I played them like a bunch of fools. When I was offered the crown by Antony, I refused it, so that the Roman people think that I didn’t want the crown, when I really did.
