Korean War
What is the Korean War all about? I had no clue, so that is where my research started. I was off on a quest to discover the Korean War. After accomplishing the main jest of the war, I began too look into the propaganda of the war. Through this research I found some fascinating flyers that both sides used to drop on each other. I will begin by briefly explaining the war, and then I will share about the propaganda. The Korean War was over the spread of Communism. The Korean War lasted about three years 1950-1953. I found three interesting things about the war. One was on the day the war began; the UN Security Council issued a resolution demanding that the Communists stop fighting and retreat to the 38th parallel. Interestingly enough Russia, a member of the 10-nation Council, could have vetoed the resolution, but it was to busy boycotting the Council meetings. The second was that technology had advanced to Jet planes. Lastly the paper flyers both sides used for propaganda. I actually had a great time learning about the Korean War. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to dig as deep as I would have liked into something specific, but I learned a lot. I remember when Kathy had us interview classmates about their knowledge on certain wars. When I was asked what I knew about the Korean War all I could say was, “It took place in Korea, and like all wars people died.” Now if I someone were to ask me what about
