A taboo is a social strong prohibition. The taboos have formed through the years by the experiences of people. Breaking of the taboos may result in rejection from society. As every nation has faced different experiences, all cultures have their own taboos. In our country, most severe taboos could be seen on ethnicity, politics, and sexuality. Since the prejudice could be considered as the basis of taboos, the concept of taboo involves negativity in it’s own nature. Therefore only the negative effects, as a result of prejudice, of taboos on social life could be arguable. The taboos create inequality between people, inefficiency in political area, and wrong ideas about sexual practises. The ethnic taboos include racism and prejudice on some communities.
