As movies become progressively violent in cinemas today, people start blaming them for many of societies problems. Some main arguments that pro-censorship protesters use when discussing this topic are that people commit hate crimes because of the violence depicted in movies. What they do not realize is that the guns do not breed violence, however, other problems lead to violence. The definition of violence is a very intricate and has many different perspectives. Many people say “poverty, racism, inequality, chemical imbalances in the brain, and toy guns” are the underlying causes for violence and aggression (The Causes of Aggression). Either way, the root of violent behavior does not stem from guns in movies.
