A cell phone is a relatively a new thing to many of us. However, it has spread around the world in the last fifteen years. It was invented to make communication available at any time in any place. A good number of people, including myself, depend on it to carry out daily operations. Making cell phones become a part of our daily life. In addition, it's very convenient for some people and for some situations. One of the main drawbacks of owning a cell phone is its safety concern during driving. Car accidents has rose ever since cell phones were invented. I think people shouldn't use cell phones often while they are driving on the road. I"m not saying that road drivers shouldn't use cell phones at all because many times it may be useful when calling 911 to report accidents. However, I do believe that safety precautions need to be taken more for people who are talking on the phone while driving. Nowadays, cell phone are being made by Nokia, Erricson, and Motorolla that offer a hands-free cell phone allowing the consumer to keep both hands on the wheel and talk at the same time. Although, this has eliminated the chances of a person's hands being off the wheel and depleted the act of dialing the phone, it does not all a driver to be 100% focused while driving. Based of this fact, it is easy to see that cell phones and driving don't mix very well. Therefore, we shouldn't mix the two until there is more safety features given to us which goes along with cell phones. If only the proper safety precautions were made, many car accidents could have been spared. In conclusion, society needs to take a greater step in the advancement of safety features for wireless devices on the roads. .
