Taking the Bus Versus Using a Car
Which form of transportation is believed to be more convenient, taking the public bus or using a car? For years, people have depended on transportation to get to work, school, store, church, and vacation destinations. Public buses and cars have become the two most popular forms of transportation. People rely on public buses because they cannot afford a car. Public buses as well as cars are used for the same purpose, to take people from point A to point B. They both need fuel to run, and maintenance to increase their “life,” and they both cause air pollution. Despite public buses’ and cars’ similarities, there are certain inconveniences that affect what form of transportation people decide to use.Every person wants to have control of his/her time, but taking the bus does not guarantee absolute control of it. Most of the people dislike taking the bus for their daily commutes because they have to depend on the bus schedule and the bus driver to get to their destination on time. Most of them complain because they waste a lot of their precious time waiting at the bus stop and taking unnecessary routes. The bus driver wastes a lot of time taking unnecessary routes, and if there is an inconvenience on his way s/he cannot
In conclusion, the difference between taking the bus and using a car is all about the convenience. People like to have absolute control of their time; they dislike depending on others to get to their destination on time. For this reason, taking the bus is a very inconvenient way of traveling. Unlike taking the bus, using a car guarantees absolute control of time. The atmosphere inside a public bus is very disagreeable. People have to tolerate a lot of incommodities such as crowded buses, unfriendly strangers, uncomfortable seats and frequent stops. Unlike the public bus, using a car is a peaceful and comfortable way of traveling. Cars have plenty of room, no unfriendly strangers, very comfortable seats, and no frequent stops. Definitely, taking the bus is a more time consuming and uncomfortable way of traveling than using a car. Unlike taking the bus, using a car guarantees absolute control of time. People like using a car for their daily commute because they have absolute control of their time. They are in charge and do not have to depend on other to get to their destination on time. People who use a car never complain about wasting their time waiting for transportation because their car is always there to take them wherever they want to go; people can take the shortest route to their destination. If there is any inconvenience on their way, they can take a shortcut. For example, if there is a traffic jam or they are running late, they can choose any type of shortcut and get to their destination on time
