Great things do not come along right away. They need time and adjustment to become closer to perfection, somewhat like trial and error. The mistakes made can be corrected and learned from to determine what to do in the future. Being able to predict the needs of the future by looking at past events is the best way to make things run well. The creation of what would be cemented into the foundation of America did not start off right away as the Constitution, but rather it was more of a rough draft called the Articles of Confederation. This had lasted for six years, but could not possibly withstand the change of time. The Articles of Confederation, like all things, had to come to an end. This change was inevitable and needed to be taken care of as soon as possible in order to keep up with the government that was necessary to obtain amongst the people of this rapidly changing nation. The laws needed to best fit what was occurring at that moment, and it was not intended to consider the distant future. After being ruled by the tyrant King George III, North America wanted its own form of government, since they were not free from Great Britain¡Çs rule. In 1777, the first written document that set up a government for the new world was the Articles of Confederation. It was then ratified by all the states in 1781. This became the basis and the first step towards a new way of law. It was written as a document to fulfill the immediate needs of the people at the time of the American Revolution, and was not intended as a final version that would stand the test of time. type of government may have been effective as a temporary form of organization, but soon it came to a point where it needed to be improved. The Articles of Confederation stated that each state has its own ¡Èsovereignty, freedom, and independence.¡É It was an initial attempt for unity that would become permanent among the American colonists, who would later become American citizens. This was created during a congressional committee meeting on July 12, 1776. It was then adopted on November 15, 1777, whereupon an association was then created. It was created to help the people govern themselves and to provide the support to keep things under control without outside help. It also grant ability to require states to give money to a national government and to allow them each one vote in congress. It helped to maintain the relationship with the natives and to control affairs outside the country. It also helped to settle fights among states.
