Eckankar

Eckankar is full of ideas, visions, and behaviors, which have been passed down over the last 6 million, or maybe the past 38 years depending on who you talk too. Eckankar is loaded with memes and anamnesis, and the preceding pages will “throw light on” how they relate to Eckankar.

The major belief of Eckankar is that it is the Light and Sound of God. In the Eckankar religion, spiritual exercises are a big part in growing in the faith. A common practice is to sing the word HU, an ancient name for God. This is a meme because this has spread from person to person over generations through the religion.

The importance of singing HU is so that one can build a spiritual foundation based on personal experience with the Light and Sound of God. By singin

After becoming an “expert” on Eckankar, I am hard pressed to believe many of the ideas and theories that Twitchell came up with and that Klemp is promoting. While there are some concepts that have meaning, I find the religion overall is a cult and I will stay away from it. Christianity suits me just fine thank you.

Another part of the ECK Master’s job is to rewrite history of the religion. Since Eckankar is really only 38 years old, this makes the job of Harold Klemp quite easy. He can basically brainwash his chilas and tell them anything. Klemp has destroyed early audiotapes and other documents that would lead one to believe Twitchell thought up this religion himself and that it really didn’t come from Venus 6 million years ago.

While the ECK Master claims to be like a living Christ, it is ironical that the ECK Master rarely sees anyone of his chilas (followers of Eckankar) and only makes one or two appearances a year. Christ was an omnipresent face 2000 years ago spreading the good word of the lord around the world. Th
