Napoleon Bonaparte is considered to be one of the greatest conqueror and captain of modern times. In history perhaps no one has ever been the cause of great controversy on whether or not he was good person. Perhaps no one had ever claimed as much of the admiration, fear, and hatred of all men as did Napoleon. Napoleon was a man with many sides. He started many of his challenging voyages and defeats as a young child for the greater good and they continued throughout his life. Some Historians have mentioned that “Napoleon lent his name to an epoch because he symbolized reason enthroned, because he was the philosopher-prince who gave to the dominant aspiration of the age its most typical, most resolute, and most triumphant expression.” As mentioned above, he had many accomplishments and many defeats that affect the world in which we live. Napoleon plays a very big and positive part in history as most historians like George Rude and Geoffrey Bruun would agree. Napoleon Bonaparte was born on August 15, 1769, at Ajaccio, in Corsica.
