I’m the kind of girl who will do anything for what she wants. When I set my mind towards a certain goal, I do anything and everything until that goal is met. I believe that the longest goal I’ve had has been for almost four years now. That goal was to become Editor-In-Chief for the school’s newspaper, The Stinger.
I wanted to take journalism my freshman year of high school because I knew that I loved to write and that I thought journalism would be an excellent career. Yes, by my freshman year I already knew what I wanted to do as an adult. Believe me though, journalism isn’t as easy as it may look. I learned an incredible amount of responsibility and of course, excellent writing skills by taking journalism.

Working hard for something pays out in the end. I never thought I would get this kind of position. Working hard all three years for what I wanted definitely paid off. It taught me a valuable lesson, which is something that I can use during my college years. Maybe I’ll become the Editor-In-Chief of a paper at the college I attend next fall. After you finally get what you deserve by all the hard work you’ve put into something, there’s nothing better than getting the satisfaction of knowing that you’ll never give up on anything and can get anything as long as you put your mind to it.
