Fractured Fairy Tale of Beauty and the Beast

In our little town of Pulchritude there lived a merchant and his three daughters. Far away on a mountain over looking the small town was my castle. My name is John but you might know me better as “The Beast.” I lived there longing to find a true love that would break this spell. One day this merchant decided to take a stroll through the forest and discovered my castle. Since it was getting cold and late all he wanted to so was rest. The door was opened because of the brisk wind, and he walked in liked he owned the place. As he walked in he yelled, “Hello? Is anyone there? I need to rest. I would really like to stay here for the night. Hello?”

Since no one answered he walked over the fire that was blazing with red, orange, and yellow. He sat down in my chair and helped himself to some hot chocolate. I thought it was very rude that he did this. But since I wasn’t in the mood at that point I let it go. It was the nest morning, though, that made me snap. I mean it was already pretty rude that he walked into my castle uninvited. The thing is though, that as he was leaving he saw a horse. “This horse is exactly what my daughter wanted. I think I will take I home so she will be happy!” he exclai

He continued through the path and finally got home, where his daughters were waiting. The first daughter ran up to him and said, “Wow, my own horse. It’s even more beautiful than I imagined it!”

“Father, I must. It is my entire fault, and I would probably be better off. Please, Father, let me go in your place.

The merchant calmly said, “Because it was the rose that I picked for her that made him so angry with me.”

Now you see that is the real story, I wasn’t ever that mean to the merchant like people say I was. I tried to be nice but he was just downright rude. It still amazes me how there are still people like that around the world. If only there was a handsome prince gone bad all over the world. Then maybe people would learn better. That’s my version of the fairy tale, of “Beauty and the Beast,” and it’s the true version, not one of those fractured fairy tales that those language teachers are making you write.

First of all he was totally over reacting but when he said it was only a rose, oh boy! I got very mad. “ONLY A ROSE?” I yelled. “ONLY A ROSE? That was not just any ordinary rose. It was very important to me and now you must pay. Either you come to be my prisoner or Beauty must come willingly and be my prisoner.”

Up in my castle I was cheering inside because I might get a chance to be human again.

“Why Beauty?” asked the second daughter.

That night I had her come down for dinner but she didn’t. I tried to be nice, but she was just not willing to be nice back. She was in such a bad mood I though it was hopeless for the spell to ever be broken.
