There are four important characters in the play Macbeth, Macbeth himself, Kind Duncan of Scotland, Ms Macbeth (Macbeths Wife) and Banquo who is Macbeths comrade. Macbeth and Banquo are generals of Scotland who just defeated a revolt against King Duncan. However on their way back after the final battle three witches appear out of a storm and tell a prophecy that he will be Thane of Glamis and also Thane of Cawdor and later king of Scotland. Later on Duncan orders the death of Thane of Cawdor and Macbeth starts to believe he can force the witches prophecy. However the witches also told Banquo that his sons would be kings. Macbeth assass
