Methods of American Education vs. Asian Education The American Education system has been a topic of concern for many of American peoples of today’s society that stresses competition with Asia’s methods of education is slim; America is “A Nation at Risk.” (Pg. 197) Most may not know much about Asian methods of education, but as American’s we have gained a great deal of experience from the American system of education. There are many appealing elements of controversy surrounding this topic, of these, a few play an important role, such as parental involvement, the school system in general, and individual attention of students. These two countries have obvious cultural differences surrounding the methods used in each school system, which in turn asks the question: “Is the American system of education in serious need of some kind of reform?” Parental involvement plays the most important role in how the American system and Asian system of education plays out.
