This is what Friedman means by the golden straightjacket, which is just the formula which its to be apply for countries to be major attributer of the globalisation society. One can find this idea to be to handy if the country one is form is in the top of the food chain like the United states or European union. However is a little more disturbing when one country is in the bottom of the food chain is bully in to a globalisation system that makes the country be dependent of the main player of the globalise club. This is like selling the countries soul for fancy items that the globalisation brings. The dependability that one country is going to have towards the system as the author portrays for one is just a dependability one countries that control globalisation.

The following idea that the author develops in this part, are the prevention that are to be taken in other to maintain cultural aspects of each society. He calls this filters that each country should have in order to have their own identity hence these filters were not to exist all the countries will loose their aspect that make them differ from others .Friedman argues that globalisation is so effective that if people do not use filters to maintain their identities they could easily wipe away. Another aspect he portrays needs to be secure is the environment where each country should be responsible of maintaining theirs.

Friedman speculates how globalisation will shape politics around the world. However it will be hard for people to recognise how much influence each individual has on the government and the global forces of the electronic heard. This assumption come from the fact that the writer believes that the world has become some kind of big market when every citizen of the world could be an influential player. Therefore it will be a relation between the government and its people. Nevertheless he assumes that the electronic heard will come as saviour to the people since their power of decision making of government. Hence when countries become part of the electronic heard it translate most of its power to the heard it self.

In the third part of the book “The Backlash Against the System” Friedman basically resumes what could be the response of the individuals that do not want to enjoy the global heard. This responses could come from religious extremist, nationalistic movements or environmentalist. This reactions will have valid ground on opposing the heard however the writer emphasis that this people are missing the bigger picture which is progress in a united world. The author argues that the people who are against globalisation are just people who do not know any thing about it. He believes that this ignorance is what could slow the process down but never stop it. Since is a process of generation is believes that the battle will last many decades until the opponent realises that its impossible to fight destiny.
