Vietnam were being at the top of the list was going on while thousands of Americans
were dieing there. And backs at home thousands of people were protesting the war. The
civil rights were going through fighting for their rights in the United States. This was
creating the United States a hectic and confusing place to live. There were positives to
the outcome of the civil rights as well as us being the first to land on the moon. The 60’s
and 70’s were full of huge events that have changed the United States forever.
On July 20th 1969 the United States sent a spacecraft called Apollo 11. This
country had accomplished what no one else has, when Neil Armstrong set foot on the
moon. We as a nation beat all the other nations to the race to walking on the moon. This
