In these days in high school, its all about boys and girls. Whether if its about who’s the best looking, who’s the best athlete, who’s the funniest, or if someone hangs out with the “popular” crowd. Teenagers reguardless of when, will always have something in common, and that’s being a teenager. Being the outkast, the ones who cause the trouble. Stories of rivalries and conformity are also what will always be common.
Teens back in the 50’s were some of the ones which have set an example for the rest of time. The rememberable characters in this movie were teen idols during their time. Danni Zuko was a big idol for his time, boys wanted to be him, and girls wanted to be with him. During this time the origin of Rock started its fan base. This new form of music was known as “Rock-n-Roll”. And just as new genres came out of the dark in the 50s, so did those recently. Many from the 50s enjoyed the sounds of Rock-n-Rollers such as Chuck Berry who performed the song “Johnny B. Goode” and the band The Coasters with their smash hit “Yakety Yak”.
