The Tannak (Old Testament)
I am a strong believer in God and his son Jesus Christ, but I don’t believe that the Old Testament is a valid historically correct document. In many instances, such as Adam and Eve, Noah’s Arc, and the parting of the Red Sea, as stated in the Old Testament. I find it hard to claim the entire Old Testament as an accurate historical document. I have faith in its teachings and yet it is not all necessarily proven to be true. In the beginning of Genesis, God made man. The writer was unaware of the scientific findings of today’s society. He or she assumed Adam and Eve resembled man at his or her time. In reality, man’s appearance has changed over the many thousands of years since his creation. If he or she was unaware of this, then how do we know we it to be historically correct? Did it a
Thirdly, I bring into question the parting of the Red Sea. Moses and the Jews settled in the land of Canaan. But how did they cross? In the Old Testament, it says that God gave Moses power to part the Red Sea so that they could pass. But if science as we know it today was never known thousands of years ago, then it possibly could have been a natural occurrence caused by earthquakes.
