An Arrogant Society
It is the American way to make all efforts to become better than others. Promoting these efforts, capitalism has made the country run smoothly for over 200 years. In education, one strives for perfection in hopes of going to an expensive college to get a high paying job. In business, one is out to make the most money, so they can buy the most goods, and live life to its fullest. In retirement planning, one wants to be able to live well, and be content, after they no longer have a steady income. Life is capitalism, and capitalism is life. The ongoing circles of life, and the pursuit of happiness, make it an absolute success when one is able to be arrogant, as they are better than others. From young to old, with the successes along the way, personal pride is developed more so, as pride can rarely be developed without victories of some sort for one’s moral. Arrogance is next in line. Taking some longer than others, personal pride often fuels haughty behavior. American society promotes this cycle. American society promotes arrogance.Arrogance is defined as an overbearing pride evidenced by a superior manner over inferiors. Haughtiness is arrogance-arrogance is not confidence. Often thought of as
excessive confidence, arrogance is far more complex than this. Any mannerisms, language, and impaired personal perceptions create arrogance. Whether it may arise from fear or pride, arrogance is an attitude that is acquired through successes. As an outward expression versus inward, arrogance differs from confidence. This self-aggrandizing takes place often because of arrogance. Many supercilious mannerisms are promoted by society on every level, whether it business people who try to make their company the best and are superlatively boastful in their advertisements as means of following the standard, or even people so pure as ministers or priests, because of societal influence these people believe in themselves as able enough to pass on an all important message and promote their beliefs as being superior to those of others. Arrogance is confidence that is displayed externally not internally. Society is rules by arrogant religions, for people choose to believe in something that they have no idea about with blind faith.
