excessive confidence, arrogance is far more complex than this. Any mannerisms, language, and impaired personal perceptions create arrogance. Whether it may arise from fear or pride, arrogance is an attitude that is acquired through successes. As an outward expression versus inward, arrogance differs from confidence. This self-aggrandizing takes place often because of arrogance. Many supercilious mannerisms are promoted by society on every level, whether it business people who try to make their company the best and are superlatively boastful in their advertisements as means of following the standard, or even people so pure as ministers or priests, because of societal influence these people believe in themselves as able enough to pass on an all important message and promote their beliefs as being superior to those of others. Arrogance is confidence that is displayed externally not internally.
