Critical Thinking Impacts Decision Making

Decision making and critical thinking do not go hand in hand, it is very easy to come to a decision with out thinking it through, but will you stand behind your decision and do you believe in your own decision? Critical thinking will give you the voice behind any decision, because with out doubt you came to the best possible conclusion based upon the critical thinking process.

I see critical thinking absent in my work from the top to the bottom. I am aware I do not see every management decision, but I am involved in many. I would guess the fact that I am involved in the decision was another thinking critically. Most decisions that are made are based on requirements from the state, and how to get ourselves to that point. How far are we, what is our return on investment, the total cost of ownership, what do I have to do?

Decision making can be made without thinking critically, but only sound decision can be made from critically thinking. Critically thinking is non-opinionated facts, judgments and beliefs that are arrived from critical questions, knowledge, and history to make a sound judgment.
