With the percentage of children that need up close and personal attention from great teachers, I know that many people may wonder why we must remember the times when we had loving, caring, certified, teachers. It is sad that the reason is because of teacher shortage. It is sad but it is true. In many parts of the United States there are teacher shortages. There are not enough teachers for many reasons. Pay plays apart in each reason that constitutes teacher shortage. If there was a pole taken, I could almost guarantee that if teachers made six figures along with their paid holidays and summer breaks, their would be more people trying to become teachers than doctors and lawyers. It takes a passion for children and helping others to be an effective teacher. To over come this teacher shortage this is something that must be mandated and taken into consideration along with the pay. In ten years I do not want to remember the times, I want to live in the time.
