It consists of things that are real; things that are true; not imagination or fantasy. But isn’t that everything in our world as well? Everything that surrounds us is not our imagination (or else we would all be recommended to psychiatrists and they would be the next billionaires). Anything that is real tends to be perceived by our one of five senses. Due to this, each individual’s perception is unique. No two people think specifically alike. Laurence Yep stated, “We see the same thing and yet find different truths.” Whatever seemed real to Blanche might not have been real to Stanley. Blanche used her delicate paper-lantern to represent her fragile self. To Stanley, it was a simple trick that she used to cover her faults. In the end, he tore the lantern apart because it did not belong in his “raw” world. His “seven-card stud” reality is contradictory to Blanche’s magical paradise. “The Kowalskis and the Dubois have different notions.” What Blanche may believe fits in her world may not coincide with Stanley’s. Each individual experiences life in his or her own manner, however Stanley strongly disapproves when it interferes with his dominant nature. To control his situation, he surpasses Blanche’s illusionary barriers and crushes her. This makes reality for her even more complex to handle, which causes her to break down. In Stanley’s eyes, by removing Blanche’s influences, he can regain authority and control in his domain. On the other hand, this controlling, power-hungry, dominant, and sexual man can’t realize that those are actually his illusions...

Our reality is demonstrated based on the way we live. However we have to realize that the truth is ever present and will not fade away. On the other hand, it may be misinterpreted in many ways because it is filled with illusion
