I was born to a Korean family in the capital city of Seoul on May 28th, 1984. I was the second son and my father had always brought us up with the concept that ‘You cannot succeed in life without making an effort’. Every other week our family held a meeting so that we may have a close relationship and better communication with each other. Throughout my life I was able to understand and realize the compassionate love that my parents had for my brother and me.
When I was in elementary school, my brother and I would go to the U.S. army military base in Korea to learn English from a lieutenant we had met there. At first, I was just so curious and interested in the foreign language called, English. The lieutenant was very kind and sometimes he would tell us interesting stories about America. At that time I was still pretty young and un-experienced in life, but my older brother got invited to go to Kentucky with the lieutenant where he had lived for one month. There, my brother learned and experienced many aspects of the American culture and language during that short period of time. Through the stories that I have heard
After graduation, I plan to go back to my country and work as a professional Tradesman where I can exercise my expertise and knowledge. First, in order for me to become one in this organized society, I must learn the basics of language study. It is very important to be able to communicate with others. After being admitted to this school, I would like to focus my studies on International Business. Today, Asia is becoming the world’s biggest market. America and Korea trades extreme amounts of products. My goal in life is to lead the present society that we have now, into the future.
In elementary school, my character at the time was not very outgoing. I was always quite and tried to do things on my own. As a result, I was a good listener. Many of my peers would always want to confide in me their problems and I would try to help them solve it. Since I have always been independent, whenever I was assigned to do something, I never gave up and tried my best in everything I did. That led me to become the leader of my class during elementary and middle school.
