I am happy to say that I have a good relationship with both of my parents but in this paper, I want to write about my mom. My mom is one of the most important people in my life. Everything my mom says or does has an impact on my life. She is the only person who knows more about me than I do. No matter what happens in my life, no matter how good of a day or bad of a day I am having she is always there for me. She is the only person who will take time out of her busy schedule to talk to me about the littlest things. She is always there for me and that is why I chose “I Turn to You” by Christina Aguilera as the song that best describes our relationship.

This song has the lyrics that best exemplifies my relationship with my mom. She is always there for me and she is the one person I can turn to for anything. Even when I have friends who let me down I know she will never do that. She cares about me so much and will be there for me through everything. She has never abandoned me in a time of need and I know she never will. As I get older I come to realize how much my mom means to me and what an important factor she is in my life.

The other reason that I picked this song is because it is the theme song for the TV show “Friends”, which is our favorite show. Over this past winter break she would come over and we would watch the episodes from all the seasons that I have on DVD. So not only does the song have lyrics that describe our relationship but it has significance to our favorite show.

Throughout the years, I have had many friends who have come and gone. I have gone through lots of friends, some I am still close with and some I have drifted away from. But there has been only one person who has been with me since we were just toddlers, and that is my cousin, Penny. She is always there for me when I need advise or just someone to vent to. That is why it is quite obvious why I have chosen the song “I’ll Be There For You” as the one that best depicts our relationship.
