Politics are influenced in every body’s lives everyday, whether they know it or not. People are affected by this socialization and it is interesting to know people get their points of views in politics. It is interesting to learn how these agents play a big part throughout our lives. Political socialization is a process that starts at a very young age and will continue throughout someone’s life, whether they know it or not.
The first and biggest part of this process is the family. The family affects everyone the most because they are the ones around the most. Families are the first ones to teach their children and what people learn first sticks to them for the rest of their life. Trust plays a big role too. Peers probably have the second biggest influence on political views. People have trust in their peers and will more than likely agree with them on a political topic. Peers also spend the majority of their time with each other. If someone brings up a political question, then they will probably be there to hear it and discuss it. Peers also isolate themselves from other groups. They are always with a certain crowd and they probably agree on most topics. If they hear certain points being made often, then they will likely start to understand the view and maybe agree with it. Peers are like family, but they don’t influence opinion until later on in life.
nt could do this by only watching liberal channels or having conservative magazines around the house. This brings to the conclusion that almost everyone will most likely have the same beliefs about their political system as the parents.
